The shuttle departs from Johannesburg’s O.R Tambo International Airport at 07:00 and travel via Emalahleni (previously Witbank) “the place of coal”, eMakhazeni (previously Belfast) which means “The Cold Place” and Emnothweni (previously Dullstroom), to Mashishing / Lydenburg and then Ohrigstad.
Visitors will note that while these are the official new names, the original names are still commonly used in everyday conversation and you might find both names being used interchangeably.
The transfer takes about 5 to 7 hours, with convenience stops along the way so passengers can use a restroom and buy snacks before continuing on their journey.
Connecting Ohrigstad with Johannesburg
This daily shuttle service from Phalaborwa and Hoedspruit follows the same route via Ohrigstad the other way around and also include some comfort stops en-route, allowing passengers to have a break.
The shuttle departs from Hoedspruit around 11:00 with a stop at Ohrigstad to arrive at O.R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg by 17:15.
